US Allies Account for 10 Percent of Anti-IS Airstrikes in Iraq, Syria: Reports -- RIA Novosti



MOSCOW, October 7 (RIA Novosti) - The forces of the US-led international coalition have carried out around 10 percent of over 1,700 airstrikes against the Islamic State (IS) and other terrorist groups in Iraq and Syria, Agence France-Presse reported Tuesday, citing anonymous defense officials.



Since the beginning of airstrikes against the IS targets in Iraq back in August, the United States has conducted 1,768 airstrikes, while Arab and European aircraft have carried out around 195 attacks, according to the agency’s sources.
