Russia's Lavrov says fighting in east Ukraine abating

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Monday he believed a surge in ceasefire violations in east Ukraine had passed, adding Moscow would work to prevent violence escalating again.
