Congo illegally detained, tortured pro-democracy activists: HRW

KINSHASA (Reuters) - Security forces in Democratic Republic of Congo have illegally detained and tortured pro-democracy advocates as part of a crackdown before a presidential election next year, Human Rights Watch (HRW) said on Thursday.
