(CNN) – Militant group ISIS released another gruesome video, showing the beheading of a second American, journalist Steven Sotloff.



The terrorist group has gained strongholds in eastern Syria and northeastern Iraq, and, according to a former CIA operative, ISIS cells have already infiltrated the U.S.



"The people who collect tactical intelligence on the ground, day-to-day – and this isn't Washington – but people collecting this stuff say they're here, ISIS is here, they're capable of striking," said CNN national security analyst and former CIA operative Bob Baer.



"They don't know what their plans and intentions are. But it's a definite concern," said Baer.

My Comment: We already know that there are about 100 Americans fighting for the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq .... so it should not surprise anyone that there are a number of Americans who support the cause of the Islamic State but have not moved to Syria and Iraq nor have they made their convictions known to the authorities. And while they may not be active fighters, they do serve a role in providing assistance, logistics, and intel to those who are actively involved in the fight. As to members who may decide for whatever reason to commit a terror act .... that is a situation that should definitely concern all of us.
