WNU Editor: After Sri Lanka's Presidential election I had mentioned that I was surprised that Sri Lanka's President Rajapaksa had conceded defeat . As I had mentioned in my post .... he is an authoritarian and I had never expected him to give up power. That is why I am not surprised that new reports are now indicating that he did try to stay in power .... but the Army/police refused to go along.
