Bangladesh Islamist politician sentenced to death for war crimes

DHAKA (Reuters) - A Bangladesh war crimes tribunal sentenced an Islamist party leader to death on Tuesday after convicting him of atrocities committed during a 1971 war of independence from Pakistan.
