Russia's Lavrov says fighting in east Ukraine abating

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Monday he believed a surge in ceasefire violations in east Ukraine had passed, adding Moscow would work to prevent violence escalating again.

Iran's Army Ground Force revealed the latest military equipment it has manufactured, including an armed remote-controlled robot and a wheeled tank.

Iran celebrated its national army day, staging parades and unveiling the latest in military equipment.

The parades were held in front of the mausoleum of the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the late Imam Khomeini in southern Tehran. President Hassan Rouhani was present on the occasion.
